Yes, that's right, American's hate money. We are constantly bombarded by the American Dream where we are told that you can achieve anything you want and get rich. The streets are paved with gold they say, go to college and get a good education so you can open your own business everyone says.

Capitalism, wealth, the Rockafellers, Warren Buffet, money lining the streets, these are the stuff of dreams and things we hear about on a daily basis in the US. So why do Americans hate money? I don't know, but it is obvious considering:

1) Stores don't accept anything larger than a $20 bill. Can you believe that? In a country lined with gold, stores won't accept anything larger than a $20. It turns out that we are criminal bastards too because stores don't want piles of cash lying around. That's no excuse, get some fuckin' security.

2) We don't like rich people - which is funny coming from a country where we are supposed to move up the food chain. Yet, how many times do politicians bitch and moan about CEOs that make too much money. How much is too much? Why is it too much? Ask anyone, they will tell you. CEOs make too much money. Bullshit. I say there is no such thing as making too much money. Those same politicians have no trouble accepting those corporate donations though do they?

3) We don't save money. - Americans have one of the worst savings rate of any industrialized nation. In fact, it is negative. We spend more than we make. We hate it so much we have to get rid of it fast.

4) Our Money is green. - we care so little about money that we don't even design decent looking money. Hell, any country in the world has better looking money than the US.

5) Give a penny take a penny - we hate pennies so much we give them away. Go into any store and near the cash register there is the give a penny take a penny tray where you can help yourself to a few cents when you need them. Not only that, we are too lazy to even pick up pennies from the street!
